New mechanic learning by myself, have everything on this bike cleaned and firing with starting fluid, but it won't stay running. Thinking the only thing left is points and condenser, but I can't get the damn flywheel off (clutchwheel? idk, its where the timing marks are, and it spins when i try to start it). I bought a puller, but it's only a male and I can't find the reverse thread one with the inner bolt. Help?

There are no points/condenser, this is a CDI ignition system. There's a Diagnosis thread in the Electrical section for figuring out what's wrong with the CDI system. http://www.hondatwins.net/forums/64...400-450-cb450sc-manual-trans-1978-1986-a.html No need to remove the rotor just yet.

If it fires with starting fluid it sounds like you're getting spark and air but not fuel to keep it running? How are the carbs? Also the flywheel comes off by threading in that big bolt (The puller) and tightening it. By thing this you pull it off, just need to stop the rotor from spinning with it. But one step at a time.
