So Im getting some 5th gear slippage when under reasonable throttle, so from the research Ive done it seems it would be a good idea to just go ahead and get a rebuild kit. Issue Ive come up with that is I have no idea exactly what I need. One kit has 6 fiber plates and 1 metal , springs and gasket, but the shop manual appears to have the teardown showing 6 fiber and 6 metal. Any of you more knowledgeable 400t owners have any clarification ?

Alrighty , all parts acquired. Going to be undertaking this project tomorrow. Going to soak the plates over night to make sure theyre ready to go in tomorrow. Any tips or tricks to add? Seems like a pretty straight forward job, so Iam not anticipating hours spent in the garage.
