I'm guessing that the seat that came with my basket case scrambler is a non-scrambler seat? When mounted, it hits the latch correctly but is off-center to the left by a solid 1.5 inches or so (see pic)?? If you look at it, you can see it is clearly the seat pan width that's the issue, it's not related to the seat material having moved to one side. Can't believe that Honda would design something this asymmetrical! (has to be the wrong seat right?)

Any thoughts?

72, K4 with side hinges correct?

Flip the spring loaded latch 180 ? It is offset.

I have had to repair every seat pan from every model that I have redone. Always have cracks, twists and bent in the middle from being used as a lift point to put the bike on the center stand.

Seat looks to be correct for the CL tank. CB would be way too short.

Thanks! The hinges are angled, creating some degree of offset no? I wonder if i need to turn them 180 as well?

Top tip of the hinge should almost be contacting the edge of the seat. They are frequently bent.
