I have 2 Cl 350 and 1 CB 350 and a CL 350 parts bike. I think the parts bike (sn 1059218) is a 1969. On the front brake cable it has electrical wires coming out of the middle of the casing that run to the headlight bowl. What in the hell would they be? An electrical connection triggered by use of the front brake could only be for a stoplight, but my other bikes don't have it.

The earlier CB and CL did have a brake switch in the cable. Later on the brake light was activated near the lever by a small plunger switch.

My '69 had the switch in the cable. It made the brake actuation feel spongy, so I put a regular cable on it and ditched the front brake light function.

those cable triggered front brake light switches were awful.

best answer is to replace the cable with one from any other year but K1 and replace the lower right switch housing with one from a K2-K5 (G doesn't work)
