Hello everyone, I just picked up a 68' CL175. It's gorgeous. Got it from a friend who it was passed down to by his grandfather. Bike has always been garages. It was last registered in 81. This is my first bike and I'm looking to get it up and running. So far I can tell the engine isn't seized. Now Im just trying to go through and see what works and doesn't. I'm hoping to step-by-step clean it up and get it on the road while keeping it looking the same. Today I washed it and applied a heavy serving of degreaser. Looks really nice but now my front wheel won't move. Located in Monterey California

Congrats! Is it one of these? They are fairly rare and very cool bikes.

Your front wheel won't turn? brake cable might be stuck or the brake shoes delqminated

I'd say it's a brake shoe problem too. Either delaminated or rusted to the drum from getting water in there.

Nice - I am new to this group and restoring the same bike as well, unfortunately mine is a total restoration, a can of degrease ain't gonna touch it! Best of luck!
