Take a look at the following picture. When the oil filter spring and spring guide are installed, does it matter which set of holes the spring guide fit into? I'd hate to put it into the wrong set and have an oil flow problem. I think it's odd that one of the holes is slotted so I figure it must mean something.

Mike, I'm fairly certain the "tabs" on the guide go into the round holes... I'll double check tomorrow..... Make sure you line the cover passages up with the case passages when installing back into the case......
