I recently picked up a second 450 drum for a project, and it's different than the other one I have, as well as the others I've seen.

Wondering if anyone knows what's up.

Thanks in advance.

These are pics of the one in question. No alignment dots, and has this dust shield thing.

I know this is an older thread but here's a resource that might be able to help you: www.cmsnl.com
They have illustrated parts breakdowns that might be able to shed some light on the issue. I would dig through the year models until you find one that has those dust shrouds. I need an entire front brake panel just like that for my 1973 Scrambler project, so if you happen to come across another one, please let me know. Best of luck getting some answers!

Well, First off, the wear indicator (the thing you called a dust shield) indicates it is originally from a later model CL 450.
I believe the indicator showed-up on the K5 version, but not 100% sure.....
