I finally tracked down an oil leak. When pulling the clutch, oil leaks from around what appears to be a rubber seal around the pin on the other side of the little metal ball. It's hard to tell from the parts diagram, but possibly 'DUST SEAL 91210-286-003. I'm not seeing this procedure in the service manual but maybe someone can enlighten me.

Yes, you pull out the clutch rod, and then can stick a screwdriver in the hole and pry out the seal. The new seal is then gently hammered into place. The number on my replacement seal is TMSF 2190 8 34 8 2.
