The oil pressure switch isn't working on my bike - I've confirmed the wiring is OK from the switch and the oil pressure is good.

I've brought a new original oil pressure switch from David Silver and am ready to remove the final drive cover to replace the switch.

My question is, on replacing the switch does it also need a new washer and if so, would it be just a copper washer?

Not sure about oil pressures but the oil light isn't coming on even with just ignition turned on so oil pressure switch permanently open circuit. Shorted pressure switch wire to engine case and oil light comes on ok.... 🤔🤔
