So my 81 cm200t has a magneto. Can anyone help me with the timing. There is also a letter “B” as a timing mark with the collar mechanism being marked with the letter “B” as well. This is my first attempt in timing it sorry for my cluelessness

Is it. Honda cm200t twinstar 1981 (b) USA ?

Over.......

Pictures of the "magneto"......it's a cdi wasted spark type ignition system.

Does the engine make a " clack. Clack. Clack " type noise coming from the rotating part of the "magneto"....

With a soft top dead center tool like a wooden chopstick, watch the intake valve go down as this is the intake stroke. Once the valve begins to come backup, now you can place the stick in the spark plug hole an feel the piston come up and stop to TDC.

Where is B now in relation to any kind of stationary mark, ( I ) kind of mark above the B let's say? Would B stand for Base Timing?

And are there a set of points to apply the same steps for spark and all that timing? Assuming you understand how to static time an engine with points, Slar?
