Jrobinson17 has been nice enough to let me buy his 1980 CM400T tank to replace my dented 1979. The only real issue is that he doesnt have the key so he cant ship it opened up for me. My bike is keyed to my ignition (factory) and so I was thinking I'd just take out mine and place it in his tank, but does anyone have any ideas for how to get the new tanks lock opened to swap them out? Im debating either just tanking it to a lock smith and having him either drill it out or do something, and Im also debating just hammering in a flathead and wrenching the **** out of it till it pops. Any thoughts?
The tank seems to have a few small scratches, anyone know of anybody that makes this type of red in touchup paint?
