Ok gents, I've hit a snag with this wiring... I've scanned the Electrical forums and didn't see anything that related to my issue. Basically, I've mapped out what goes to what and in relation to my new components, I have spark going to my plugs when i kick it over, brake light works, But the issue is my turn signal relay, it's throwing me for a loop (Pun intended lol).. I have a new all-in-one control switch..(K&S Technologies Dual Sport Multi-Switch - 7/8in. Bar 12-0040)
On the electrical diagram from my original manual, there is a Brown/white wire that brings power to my switch from the fuse panel, for the turn signal and then theres a black ground that leaves (the brown/white also provides power to the backlight of my speedometer and routes to the ignition).. With that, there is a Grey wire that goes to "turn signal relay" that works in concert with the black ground forming the relay.. Inside the original turn signal assmebly, the turn signal wires (orange and blue), black ground, and grey wires were soldered to the switch .. with this new control switch, there's no place to bring that grey wire to, therefore my turn signal relay cannot function..... Does anyone know a way to bypass this relay system or where to connect the grey wire to use the control switch? Or am I screwed and need to get a different control switch:roll:
