So i've had this project bike for a bit now but can't get over this hill figuring out how to get the bike to fire. I have fuel flowing, she's kicking over but i'm not getting any spark from the plugs. I put in a new battery, cleaned the carb, made sure that's all in tact.
Wiring: As far as i've checked all the wires have continuity with eachother except for the black one as of recently. I thought I had continuity but nothings popping up on my multimeter as of this morning.
Coil: Brand new coil was put in. I checked the primary winding on 200 Ohms and am getting 3.5 which is good. Moving to the secondary coil i'm not getting a read. I am aware of this - The current in the 175 type coil is (like) a transformer... The secondary has NO physical connection to the power source....It has to jump to ground through both plugs to complete the circuit "loop"... It is not the same as a "power fed to one end" coil (like a 350 or 450, which has a common positive feed to both primary and secondary windings) and completes the circuit through the battery.....
I'm not sure how to ground both wires because the right handle bar that i have on is aftermarket which doesn't have a kill switch on it. If i could get some help there to check secondary winding that would be great.
Any feedback is appreciate, thank you!
