So i've had this project bike for a bit now but can't get over this hill figuring out how to get the bike to fire. I have fuel flowing, she's kicking over but i'm not getting any spark from the plugs. I put in a new battery, cleaned the carb, made sure that's all in tact.

Wiring: As far as i've checked all the wires have continuity with eachother except for the black one as of recently. I thought I had continuity but nothings popping up on my multimeter as of this morning.

Coil: Brand new coil was put in. I checked the primary winding on 200 Ohms and am getting 3.5 which is good. Moving to the secondary coil i'm not getting a read. I am aware of this - The current in the 175 type coil is (like) a transformer... The secondary has NO physical connection to the power source....It has to jump to ground through both plugs to complete the circuit "loop"... It is not the same as a "power fed to one end" coil (like a 350 or 450, which has a common positive feed to both primary and secondary windings) and completes the circuit through the battery.....

I'm not sure how to ground both wires because the right handle bar that i have on is aftermarket which doesn't have a kill switch on it. If i could get some help there to check secondary winding that would be great.

Any feedback is appreciate, thank you!

I had a similar problem with a newly aquired CB200.
Check you points arent earthing out. Check your condenser. I changed mine. And I put new points in. I made sure that power was running throught to the points. Bingo I got spark.
To check discon your wire to condenser and check power is running through coil. Then reconnect condenser wire and discon points wire. Check still power to its end. If thats all good and your points are good. Should be good to go.

To test the secondary winding resistance on you coil, you put a probe in each end of the secondary wires (the wires going to your spark plugs)
