Hello everyone,
Just recently joined this forum. This forum is a great resource and I have been using it a lot to work on my project. I just recently bought a 1978 cb400t and am working on a top end engine rebuild.
Currently I have run into a bit of a problem. Posted this in the engine discussion area but re posting here to get some more traffic on the thread.
I have found that the valve guides ends on spring side of the assembly have cracked off so that the valve seals move freely. The problem is that I can't find new exhaust valve guides part number 12241-413-305. : ( . So does anyone have any advice suggestion on fixing this problem ? Can new ones be machined ? If so what material? Does anyone know of any places where I can get one ? Any help would be appreciated !
