Anyone have a link to some aftermarket rear shock absorbers that would fit my 78 A? Mine seem to be pretty busted and would like to get a new pair for the summer.

Thank you. Before I buy them, how can I tell if my shocks are actually bad? My bike does not have a lot of miles (around 4k) but sat most of its life so could they have gone bad from just sitting all those years? Or perhaps do I have it set to the wrong preload?

The only way to tell is by riding it trying different pre-loads and roads. If it's always harsh that means they're sticking/binding and bad. Always seems soft means they lost the oil/gas, yes some were gas charged. I'd just replace them

I got rear shocks for my 81 400c from Dennis Kirk.com along with many other parts. I highly recommend this website fast shipment and a great customer service if you have questions

Here they are. Quality feels very good overall. Going to get them mounted and will let you know how they feel when riding.

That’s good to hear. I plan on getting some after the holidays.
