Tank and side covers have had as much “ body work” as I’m capable of!!! So turned over to painter!

Crank in and cases back together.

Man, that takes me back... I haven't been in the bottom end of an upright single in about 45 years

Well jug on after honing. New rings. New cam chain.

Cylinder head on. Stator cleaned up and tested and installed . Cam in and new sprocket. Timing marks all lined up and set.

Engine back in the frame. carb on.

I got my little CB100 running, playing around in the back yard and crashed........ shouldn't have drank those jack&cokes.

I really do like the attention to detail you are doing, real nice.

Hope will get more assembly done this coming week and then final tweaking carb and rechecking fasteners etc.

Finally looks like a cl100!! Running ....but too rich. Thus some carb adjustment are going to be needed. The carb was in a box of parts. I cleaned jets and all but they have an unknown history or who or how they have been treated cleaned reamed out etc. Will have to see how it does when I run it a bit.

That gold looks great. You did a wonderful job. I'm just about finished with my CL100 bike. I have a question and a comment.

1 I don't see the centrifugal oil cleaner on the right side crankshaft like my '71. Did they not include it on some years?

2 Are those shinko 241 tires? If so what sizes did you use and how do you like the handling? I plan on doing mostly highway and as a commuter bike so smooth ride and decent economy are what I'm looking for but I do love that look.
