Okay,
The brake light works normally, but the tail light only comes on when the ignition key is all the way to the right.
the attached pic shows two open wires (unconnected) running to the rear end, I don't know if that would have something to do with it. everything else electrical seems to work.

Thanks for any help

Light Blue and Orange are for the turn signals.
They appear to be cut off.


Tailight is:
Brown for general Running Light
Green/Yellow Stripe for Brake.

Your Ignition switch probaly has correoded contacts on the back side.
The Far Right Clockwise is a PARK Position and allows the tailight ONLY to be ON so you don't get run over on the side of the road at night.
There is NO Current to the coils and the Motor will NOT run in the Park Position.

hmm, the turn signals work normally. the ignition switch is new.
Every thing on the rear end is wired, turn signals and brake light, so I'm confused about the two cut signal wires.
