Hello gents, I've been looking over the forums and I can't find any clear fix.

I was riding my bike the other day and I noticed my brake light wasn't engaging.

I figured that it was just a light bulb.. Put a new 1157 in and I have no light at all. My tail/brake light doesn't come on in park position nor if I brake in the on position.

My cluster lights work.. Both indicators work.. So does my head lamp.

I looked at my brown wire under the seat and above the rear tire and everything seems to be together.

Please let me know if you guys have any insight in this.

Moved to DOHC electrical.

Sounds like a classic case of a bad connection. Most likely is the ground for the tail light socket.

You're completely right!

Its definitely the ground clip. I have played around with it and I am not really confident the clip will stay in place.
I heard a good click but i am finding it difficult to keep it together when putting it back together
Should I purchase new seals and clip?
