I’m new to all this forum stuff. But I’m building a 1970 Honda cb350 with a 2007 Honda cbr1000rr front end. Complete tear down. wanted to post it all on here. If I run into trouble, hoping this community will help me. Hoping I could help back if I have any info to give. Thanks

Welcome to the forum Danny, I have a 350 that I am planning to put a ZX636rr front end on and was going to send you a link to cognito motors but I see you have already found them. I will be following you buildwith anticipation. I already have a 68 CB359 that is almost ready for the road now but it still has the original forks.
I have been, or I should say was, a Honda mechanic since before the 350 came out so If I can help please feel free to ask.

Welcome to the forum, be sure to start a project log thread when you get going on it. Is the bike currently running? Look forward to seeing your progress on it.

Thanks H! Is what I’m posting on now not the project log? Sorry still all new. But I do wanna post things in the right way so please let me know how. The bike was running before I took it all apart.

Yo C. Thanks! Crazy thing with cognito. I just called them and canceled the order. I realized that I wanted to build this bike from scratch. As you would a few years back without the easy way out now. I’m not knocking anyone that’s going that route. But just a way I wanna try it ya know? And I’d prob safe some $$$$ doing it this way. And if I have questions about issues, I’ll be sure to give you a holla. Do you have a post on your build?

Update on the bike.
Pops and I cut off extra parts on the frame that it didn’t need just to make it look a lot more clean and flush .

now We’re going to weld on the loop and clean up some more stuff off the frame then send it in to get the frame power coated and the seat pan to get painted white. While all that’s in the paint shop. I’m going to start tearing down the motor for a full rebuild. Got some good information from @darksidephoto for the parts I need for the rebuild. Thanks again for everything @darksidephoto ! You the man! Haha. Falling in more love with the bike with every new part added on. 😍😍😍😍😍. Keep you guys posted.
