I recently purchased a CL350 which was not in great running order. I lucked out however and after changing out the throttle cable, adjusting the carbs and putting some new oil in it, she runs like a dream. However my right carb is missing the drainage valve/screw (I'm not sure what you call it) that sticks out the bottom of the carb and I assume is supposed to have a drainage hose attached to it. The questions I need answered are as follows:

1) What is that drain valve/screw called? I can't seem to pinpoint it in any of the diagrams.
2) Do I need to take apart the carb to replace it?
3) How nescessary is it to the overall importance of the carb or bike performance?

I would really appreciate any inisght on this. Right now the bike runs and idles great, but when I'm sitting still after a ride I notice a little more gas than I would like to see is coming out of the hole at the bottom of the carb where the drainage valve/screw should be. I attached a picture with the part in quesiton as well.

Thank you for the help!

Here's the parts fiche:

Hammond Indiana, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Sea-Doo, Can-Am, Polaris, Ski, Tucker Rocky, Parts, ATV, Motorcycle, UTV, Accessories, Apparel,

No need to remove the carbs to replace it and it doesn't affect performance other than possibly by leaking fuel all over your engine. The drain also connects to the overflow standpipe which drains excess fuel should the float or needle valve fail or stick. The hoses just route leaked fuel so it drips on the ground instead of on the bike.

We'd appreciate a post in the member introductions section to let us know a bit about yourself and your bike(s). Adding a signature that includes the specific model of your bike(s) helps folks to get you accurate information.

Hi
Just attach a piece of gas line/hose to it and run it down to the ground
so no gas spills out onto the frame.
If gas is comming out, there is a small problem, maybe with your float heights, or needle not seating well. Someone with more knowledge than me should be along soon. P.S. Remember to shut off the gas as soon as you turn off the engine, at all
times. Very important.
Cheers

I just ended up finding an entire float bowl used off of ebay for $8. I'll probably need to clean it up, but that seemed like the easiest route for me. Thanks for the help!
