1968 CL350K0 Side Cover Grommet Installation

Have removed the Side Covers for refinishing and am having difficulty installing NOS Factory Side Cover Grommets. Is there a proper method of doing this without cracking the side cover.

Thanks,

You could always warm them by hot water or hair dryer, then coat them with some rubber grease. There should be no need to resort to using metal tools

Amorall is your friend when it comes to installing the grommets just about anywhere on the bike.

I used baby powder to get mine on. This was an old trick in getting window seals in my VW beetle
