I know this topic has been covered before, but my cb is in dire need of rear shocks. I've hopped down a few two many hills lol they just have no dampening whatsoever.

I haven't been able to find decent 310mm shocks, closest I've been able to find is these 317mm ones listed on eBay fitting a few different models.

I'm just wondering if anybody has tried these shocks and if they're any good or worth a try? The price seemed fairly reasonable, I'd order some hagons but my parents would much prefer that money goes towards a bigger bike or college...

Richard Pitman has a 175 post in the project section. He has messed around with different shocks. Might be some info you can use in there. He is very knowledgeable and has done extensive work on his bikes. Long post but full of good stuff. Good luck!

I'm on an ever climbing learning curve, and everything I've posted in that thread has been gleaned from info provided by others, notably 66Sprint and Simo.

And sadly, a re-learning curve in some instances, as I sometimes forget things …

Regarding shocks, I have a similar pair of cheap(ish) Ebay shocks on my CL175 and they've been fine, got over 4000 miles on those. On the CB175, I've fitted some shocks that were intended for a CB350. Damping is fine, but oversprung for the lighter 175, so I changed the springs.
