So I’m currently having a problem with my brake light. When the key is on, the brake light is fully bright. But when I turn the key to the parking light setting it works on the dim setting. I’ve replaced the bulb with an led, and I’ve also replaced the front and rear brake switches and the flasher relay. Today I pulled the ground off and the light dims, but won’t go bright again unless I ground it again. Where do I go from here?
Thanks everyone!

It is SUPPOSED to be on the "dim" /running setting in park.....
The fact it comes on "bright" when you turn the key to the "on" setting simply means the brake switch is already activated.....Adjust it.....

Easy test.... Unplug one wire from each of the switches....
IF the brake light (Bright) goes out, the problem is in one of the switches or their adjustment.....
IF NOT, you have cross connected or shorted wiring to them or the taillight.......

I'm kinda betting cross connected as the light should not be able to come on AT ALL without the ground connected.....

I'd try putting the original dual filament incandescent bulb back in, see if it all works correctly then.
