BLACK DIAMOND AND VIPER RED
This bike was in desperate condition with a seized engine, slowly rusting away beneath West Texas dust, but the bike was mostly complete. It sat another five years in my garage disassembled and stored in crates. Finally decided it was time to bring this old neglected beast to life again. It's been about an 8 month project, but I've not gotten in a hurry. Powder coated frame, new rims and spokes, complete engine rebuild, tuffside seat and lots of other new parts grace this build. I laid out some extra bucks because I only had $250 in the bike to begin with. I thoroughly enjoyed this project. But it didn't come without frustrations. The tank was painted twice;. The cam chain didn't fit correctly, and I inadvertently threw away a critical piece in the rear hub. And the points plate was misplaced somewhere (found it weeks later after ordering another on ebay.)
