Jackets that won't break the bank?

    Greetings,

Are there any nice looking jackets that won't break the bank? Summers here in my area are dry and hot during summertime.

I have the Fly Butane 3 and matching pants. This set has removable liners. They are good down to about 45 degrees, With the liners out it is OK up to the mid 70s. Above that they are hot. I got this to ride in western WA. They are good in the rain. I think Spokane summer heat will need a mesh jacket. I plan to add one to my wardrobe by summer.

Are you thinking about mesh jackets for warm/hot weather? I have a really nice one from Firstgear that fits well, has body armor, and has a waterproof liner that zips in. On sale, I think I paid about $100 for it. If you like red, this one is on closeout...

That is a very nice jacket for 79.00 and free shipping!!

Are you looking for a around town summer jacket or a long trip all seasons jacket?

I just bought this jacket from ebay. Seems pretty nice and it has removable armor shoulder and arm pads.

I have a First Gear. With the liner in you will never get cold. Even with the line out it is too hot in the summer.

Has anyone tried the Viking Warlock? It's got pretty good reviews and it looks well-ventilated. It's also got a liner when it's cooler. I just wish they made it like all silver, in the Summer the black isn't exactly ideal to fend off the heat. I've got a Joe Rocket Atomic 5 which I really like, but it has no mesh, and it does get hot in the Summer when you're not moving. Not sure how much cooler a mesh jacket would get though, it might not be worth it here in MD, I don't know...
