Are CB and CL parts interchangeable???

I dropped my bike and the only damage was to my break Lever. My question is if I get a CB part of the same year will it work on my CL? If I'm posting on the wrong part of the forum please send me in the right direction.

IF we knew exactly what CL you are talking about we could tell you but generally if both models had drum front brakes then the systems on each bike are the same in the same year or around it. Matter of fact most of the drum brakes accross many of the later models are the same but you have posted in the 250-305 section which is just out of my knowledge area for the most part.

I was about to say the brake pedals are different....but I was thinking 450's
One would think the smaller bikes may be the same?
CB's have low pipes which means the pedal has to clear the pipe...CL's have a high pipe, so straight pedal?
So a CB pedal may work on a CL, but look a bit strange

Brake Levers, Clutch levers are all the same.

In fact MOST but not all parts are interchangeable between CB's & CL's

    The obvious is the exhaust,
but add to that Front Rims are 19" VS 18" for the CB,
Side Covers for the later models have the indents to clear the upswept exhaust,
Center Stand for the CL has a TAB with a Rubber Bumper that contacts the frame, the CB uses a Rubber Bumper that is mounted to the Left Muffler,
CL Tanks & Seats are different lengths than the CB. CB's Shorter Tank, Longer Seat.
CL's had a center brace on the handle bars.
The rest is all good to mix up.
