    Compession question

Hello everyone and Happy 4th of July. I got my CB450K7 back up and running today. Adjusted the valves to .002 last week. Ran a compression test after the bike was warmed up with choke off and throttle wide open. Left side came back at 170 and right came back at 180. Is this normal or reason to be concerned? Thanks

What is it with the popularity of compression checks? Those are very good numbers! I am surprised you got numbers that high.

Seems like it's running neck and neck with torque values on every bolt lately... yep, that bike should run well, and I'd only be concerned when the variation is great enough to not be easily blamed on the compression gauge's inaccuracy

+1, makes one wonder about how many engines that had lots of miles left in them got torn apart just because "it's 20 pounds low on compression, I need to do something".

Engine has around 8K on it. Seem to run well. I was worried that some damaged may have happened with a worn tappet that was replaced. Thanks for the feedback
