    Wheel bearing repair/replacement warning.....

    Now that I have your attention, be advised that the "distance collar" (42625-286-000) that resizes/spaces the bearing on the rear wheel (sprocket side bearing) is pretty much extinct.... They are VERY easy to "accidentally" discard with the old bearing, as several members here have recently discovered....They are shown as available on CMSNL, but they are not....Part #9 in this GIF.....

    Since removing a "used" one from a wheel assembly could render the rest of the wheel unusable except as small parts, they are likely to become very expensive, very quickly.....

    Maybe it's a good idea to post the measurements of the part in this topic. They should be pretty easy and cheap to reproduce at your local machine shop.

    Not a Horrible idea, although I prefer to hand the machinest an actual part as an exemplar and let him measure it.....
    Different eyes, different touch, different tool.... equals different measurements.......
    Even though they are relatively simple to turn, I can't see them being any less expensive than the $20 cost of the original due to the precision required.....Unless you have a "batch" produced.......

    Your 350 K3 rear wheel has one should you decide to get your own measurements to post.....

    I probably have a couple of spare steel ones for CB360 as I swapped mine for 6061 alloy
    Not exactly sure where I put them though

    The caveat above should be considered. I don't know how much I trust my calipers or talent, but photos and measurements are here:

    Rear hub/brakes rebuild

    OD 20mm & 28.7mm, ID 17mm, length 18mm

    You missed the most important measurement....The height of the "flange"....
    Too much (too tall) and it pushes the bearing out from fully seating in the wheel hub...
    Too little and it does not transfer pressure to properly hold the bearing center motionless on the axle.....

    Ha, so I did. Seems to be 4.1mm.
