The spring on the left points is grounded out on the frame.

The tan insulating washer goes between the spring and point/mount

that's why we ask for pictures... like Staples, that was easy. However, with those spade connectors, you're going to have a little difficulty with the points cover fitting properly unless you make some adjustments to their position

Since it's been sitting, did you clean both sets of points? If so, are you sure there's no residue from what you may have used to clean them, like a tiny bit of paper or some solvent residue if you sprayed them with something? Just throwing out some thoughts in lieu of pictures

Yep - saw it the first time you posted, which is why I commented just above on the spade connectors possibly being an issue getting the cover on properly... I think it's harder to recap on the mobile website (guessing that's how you're viewing)

Good catch, Mike. Thanks. I'm at work now so I'll take care of it later. I probably shouldn't be doing this stuff alone. My vision check was my son who is now in California. Thanks again.

Yeah I;m aware of the cover fit issue. I'll make sure those connectors clear the cover. I'm actually going to replace the blue wire since it isn't far enough into the insulator. Thanks for your help. I'll update.

Got spark!!! I really don't know how to explain this without looking stupid so I'm not even gonna try. First of all, thanks to everyone who chimed in. What appears to have been the problem was two things. The original one was the condenser was shot. So once I determined that I ordered a new one and installed it but still no spark. The second problem was, when I put new points wires on, as doode pointed out, I got the tan insulator washer out of order on the left points so it was grounding out the circuit. Fixed that and everything is fine. Thanks again everyone.
