    Seal between petcock and tank

    Hell all,

After my previous posts 3 weeks ago, I have received the new K4 petcock for my K3 CB175, and it is indeed very slightly longer and wider. The problem is I cannot get a leakproof seal between the petcock face and bottom of the tank.i am stumped on this one as the fit looks ok but obviously isn't.i was wondering if there is a silicone type sealant or something that I could use to put around the outside of the petcock.Any ideas please.
This bike has been off the road now for 6 months whist I have messed around with this tank, and though I like to try and do everything myself, i probably should have gone to a professional and paid to get it done, its become very frustrating.

    Thankyou Graham

According to Partzilla, that o-ring size is 23.8 X 2.4mm

Perhaps a fatter o-ring will seal better?

I am not sure if a fatter o ring would fit in the groove of the petcock, but ill try and get one.Looking on the internet I see Permatex make a gasket sealant that is impervious to gas and is made specifically
for where the metal to metal faces don't match properly.

    Thanks Alan,
