    Thanks Steve. You and I worked on this bike +5 years ago via late night phone calls. I think we might have taken the crankshaft cover off one night to rotate pistons to the top position, possibly.

    Now I am reconsidering splitting the bottom end to see if there are little pieces of that piston head in there. Seems like it might be more work than what its worth. My buddy had the same thing happen to him and he "flushed" any little bits out with kerosene or diesel fuel. Thoughts?

    Founds some guy selling a 175 motor today, thought I would buy it for parts and with the hope I could use the top end. I opened the engine up and it looks very dirty in there. Steve wasn't there some easy way to check valves? Like closing them and testing if alcohol runs through them or something? Problem is I cant find a position where all valves are closed...
