    CB 200 Stator

Looking for a replacement stator for our 66 CB160. Have read from other threads on this site that a CB200 will work (and better at that).

    Currently running a 4 cell antigravity LI bat w/ Rick's reg/rect.

    Thanks in Advance!

You really don't NEED more power from a 200 Stator, as that tiny battery already gets more than it can use from the 160 windings......
Fortunately, you may have the excesses in both voltage and amperage controlled properly with the Rick's rect/reg......
If your current stator is bad, a replacement from any CB/CL 175 will more than suffice..... JMHO......

IIRC, the 160 wires are Yellow, pink, and brown, and should connect:
ALT Yellow to HARNESS Yellow, which connects to Rick's REG/RECT Yellow, (and the headlight switch)
ALT Brown to HARNESS Brown, (Which connects to Rick's REG/RECT Pink)
ALT Pink to HARNESS Pink (Which is the White/Yellow tag wire in the newer color coding) and connects to HARNESS Yellow in the headlight switch when it's turned on, and thus also connects to Rick's REG/RECT Yellow.....

175 or 200 stator, color to color except ALT White to 160 HARNESS Pink.....

    Thanks Steve,

Noted that I will not need the additional power.

Next question would be where can I get my hands on a CL/CB Stator? Not finding anything on ebay that really looks trustworthy, and the ones that I am finding on ricks are saying that the will not fit the CB160....

    Thanks again!

How soon do you need one (Is you 160 stator bad?...Did you test AC output?)
I have one in a spare 175 that will be available shortly, but the bike it is on is currently being used to test a new electronic ignition system that shows great promise......
    Please phone to discuss....540-525-5199.....

Not urgent, but want to be able to ride with my wife as soon as we can of course!

I did check the AC output and only 1 of 3 wires are pulling their weight.

I will give you a call sometime tomorrow to discuss. Thanks alot

Gotta be at LEAST two of the three wires, as AC requires two connections...
I suspect you were reading to ground instead of across the three possible pairs.....
We'll straighten it out when you call....But tonight is better for me......Honeydew tomorrow....

Hey Steve, thanks for the call last night. I did stick on a 9ah 12v agm battery today and sadly It was the same result as with the antigravity where the bike was not charging it fast enough. I think I'm going to end up needing that stator you mentioned. Let me know when we can discuss payment / shipping etc....
