    1984 VF1100S (V65) Sabre for sale

I've owned this bike for a little over 5 years, have only put about 2500 miles on it in that time. While I like the bike, I have the desire to do another project and really only have room for 2 bikes comfortably in my garage. It runs great, dead reliable, and since I've owned it I've done brake pads when I got it in late 2013, a new fuel pump (mid-2017), a new rear tire (put on mid-2018, only a few hundred miles on it), and a new AGM battery just done 2 weeks ago. It was a bit sad looking when I got it, as the headlight was taped in the shell (wrong rim) and it had a rack on the back that made small scratches on the recent paint job the PO had done prior to me buying it, plus it had a hideous light tan leather seat cover on it. As for regular maintenance, I replaced the air filter (under the tank in the plenum above the carbs), changed the spark plugs, did an oil/filter change, and replaced the seat with a nice used stock one from eBay, all done not long after buying it. Here's the before

    and as it is now

Though it's not a show piece, it's in above-average condition and a very fast and trustworthy ride. Clear title in hand, 17,300 miles, asking $2400 to HT members interested (I'll basically be breaking even, maybe even losing a hundred or two)

...or when they're 1200+ miles from you - that's what happens to me a lot (of course, I probably don't have the money then either)

C'mon... I know it's not a twin, but it IS vintage - and has 120 hp and will go 150 mph! Someone must want it... willing to negotiate

That is quite a beautiful job you have done on it. Looks lovely! I am not looking for a bike now but would have loved to own it.

That's a beautiful bike Tom. I've had a couple of the first gen Interceptors - that V45 is buttery smooth and dead reliable when properly maintained. If I ever go in that direction again, it will be with a later VFR750 - that exhaust note is the siren's song to my ears!

Thanks Pops, but it's really a 25 footer. It just needs some TLC, it's mechanically solid but cosmetically is maybe slightly above average. I just don't want to put the effort into that bike, I'm thinking in a different direction now. the V4s do have a nice sound and this one is fast too. Find a buyer for me!
