    '78 CM185 Twinstar:
    • I replaced the ragged bolts on the chain tensioners with shiny new M6's and new nuts because somewhere someone never put them back on - which explains why I had to keep tensioning the chain. Sometimes even midride!
    • Stared longingly at a new seat but gotta conserve more money so I can give it to the IRS for their responsible management.
    • Went for a little ride therapy.

    • Pulled the side covers off, and finally managed to pull the rusted retention nut/through bolt off of the air cleaners - Good heavens these things need some thorough cleaning. And that through bolt needs replacing.
    • Started to pull the carbs off but had to wait till later after other duties arose.
    • I did build a benchtop saddle mount for my gas tank, so they have a danger free place to sit while I work on the bikes. It happens to double as a place to keep my printed FSM's so I can have free hands.

I only pretend I know what I'm doing.

1979 Honda CM185 Twinstar, stored in a shed, filled with mud daubers, and destined to cost me more than I realized.
1974 CB360 Barn Find. Super dirty, nice paint job though.
1985 Suzuki FA-50 in bright yellow. My youngest daughter loves it.

I managed to get an hour long ride at the weekend just gone. After sorting out a running problem of the old 450. I wont bore you with the details, but she is running well again, so hopefully I will get to make use of the 27 degree Celsius weekend I have awaiting me?! Just gotta shift this man flu.......

Leaky van has me riding daily now which is a good thing. I managed to install a new agm battery. I also discovered the holes I drilled for wire routing the controls were oval shaped enough that I could move them about an inch in. They were on a cb750 before, and the narrower grab is a lot better on the 450. Checked timing, which seemed fine, balanced carbs a bit, installed and indexed new plugs and took her for a rip. Smiles
