The right side exhaust looks hammered, but its hard to really tell from that pic. Everything else looks good so far.

The CAM has seen some heat and wear but is not a loss.

Contact DELTA CAM they do great work on resurfacing the cams for these bikes.
Many of us here have used them - they will do the follower too.

Well at least Rabbit Hole is continuing to honor its name.
Advise - what is (are) the followers?
Not sure if it matters with good gaskets, but I did note this damage on one of the corners of the cam case.
I don't guess there is a way for my pistons and valves to be gauged from afar?
Any recommendation for cleaning the carbon from the valves and combustion chamber. Piston heads cleaned up pretty easily. I thought of use a brass brush and a dremel.

Found an NOS (described as anyway) camshaft on EBAY.
That is a pricey chunk of Japanese metal at $500.
Showed a guy at the plant my pictures of the camshaft and he said it was pretty pitted. But said there were places I should be able to get a replacement and use mine as a core.
Probably will call them at my lunch break - Delta sounds cool - $65 for the camshaft, $9 for each rocker and takes less than a week.
Also noticed common motors offers a camshaft grinding service for $200.
I will go ahead and pack up my camshaft and the four rockers and send them to Delta Cam. Checked my machine shop in San Antonio that handled the rebuild on my Straight Six Ford and he could not think of anyone locally who did camshaft repairs.

There are a few here on the forum who have used Delta. I would say that is a good price for a regrind on a cam and the 4 followers.

Sent the camshaft off today. Decided to pull the jugs so I could replace that lower gasket. I posted some pics of the pistons and cylinders in the engine section. Also cleaned up the combustion chamber some more. And I pulled the copper exhaust gaskets.
Worked up my rear brake light switch mount this afternoon. Looks pretty crude right now. Got plenty of time to clean it up some.
Question about rear brake...I have it pretty much tightened down and it does little. Is that most likely the shoes? If so, any recommendations on replacement?

You need to pull and inspect, post pics here of shoes. More than likely you need shoes, but take a pic of where brake arm is attach. Would like to see if alignment marks are spot on.
