    Timing a 160/175 sloper?

I need a little help timing my cb160. The Clymer manual isn't really clear to me. It says to set the timing on the first cylinder by rotating the points base plate, then rotate the crank 360 deg. and follow the same procedure for the second cylinder. I get the first set, but then the second is about 1/4" off the mark. Now I could go back and forth forever, but I don't think it will get me anywhere.

Finding a "happy medium" between the two just doesn't seem right to me. Is there more to it than they're telling?

Houston....We have a problem...... Your bike has TWO sets of points and TWO coils... Right?.........It should say TYPE 1 on the points cover.....

Just set the timing for the F" mark on left side compression stroke.

Darn!...It was just getting interesting..... The "rumored" 180 crank sloper.....
IF you have only one point set, and one coil, Do as Bill said......Point should JUST break (open) as the F mark lines up on the left cyl compression stroke.......
