Randys is about 11 miles from you, Bill. https://randysdiveshop.com/ At least give him a call for his input. It needs to be flexible.

    Dan,
Have you used that scuba repair product ? I'm hoping what I use will dry and not be tacky/sticky to the touch later.

No, Bill. But, I've done some 'research' on repairing carb boots, and that's what made me think of it. A call to the expert wouldn't hurt. I don't think anyone would want a wetsuit to be tacky, and it would have to be flexible,... both qualities you need. My memory banks seem to hint at the name 'black magic' or something similar.

    Dan,
I gave Randy's a call today and the man there told me that the Wet suits aren't made from rubber anymore but a "Tri Laminate" material according to the man there. He said the sealer they use for that is called Aqua Seal and I could look it up online to see if it will work for actual, real rubber which is what I want it for.

Amazon sells Dip and Grip Rubberized Plastic Coating-Black for around $13 a bottle. Use it to apply plastic to tool handles. Helpful here?

No personal experience but having seen hand tools like pliers with the like on it, I thought it would help.
