I also hope that the front wheel isn't as heavy..... Rear weighed 15+ pounds.....

MB5 Front wheel is about 7.5 pounds, including bearings, a rim band (?), and at least one "extra" layer of paint......
I have got a new set of Michelin M62 "Gazelle" tires that are the correct 2.75 and 3.00 x 18 sizes for the bike, but don't know IF they would be appropriate (or allowable) on the salt.....
    (Still awaiting a rule-book).....
Meanwhile, I'll be mocking up the engine and carb and "fitting" it so I can better visualize the airflow paths ....Pics will follow (hopefully tomorrow).....

It WILL after all be my "to-do list.....and help us keep track of progress....

Parts/components wanted will appear in red....
Parts/components ordered/being fabricated will appear in blue.....
Finished or received parts/components will appear in green....
Once they are attached/installed on the bike, they will appear in purple....

TURBOCHARGER.......(My thanks to the anonymous donor)...
Single carb CD 175 head......(Thanks Lefty)(See PM about the 160 front hub)...
Rebuild-able waste-gate actuator (so springs can be changed to get the desired low boost pressures)
Rebuild-able "pop-off" valve (for the same reasons)

Rebuild components for the CB 125, 22mm carb...MUST also find a set of floats (non-brass-tank) that will take carb bowl pressurization)
A CB200 tank would be nice....(heavier tank will take internal pressurization better without deforming)....
    Oil tank/cooler finned unit......
    Ecotrons electric oil pump.....
    12 V coolant pump....
A variety of "cam-loc" fasteners and receptacles for attaching bodywork....(thanks Bud....)
    MB5 front wheel....
A "Spare" set of CL 175 "sloper" engine cases would be nice to have....
    (MAY have located this...)
As would a "Spare" CD 175 "vertical" (single carb) Cylinder head.....
    A "spare" CB 175 camshaft would also be nice....Thanks Ray/CB2NR .....
    Mandrel bends for exhaust fabrication......
Tires and tubes (pending qualification for use).....
GL 1000 clutch cable for rear brake modification.....
Spare complete early 175 gasket set......(Slopers use different side-case gaskets than the verticals do, but most of the rest are identical)....
    Honda Head gasket......

We are getting closer!......Membership dues to BNI were finally processed, so perhaps the rule book will be forthcoming sooner than expected....

Depending on the dates of Bonnie; I live in SOCAL and would be a free pit man if you need. I would love to see this bike and also what you can do out there! I've only ridden out there once just passing through but it was pretty surreal. Good luck 66, I'll see if I can contribute some funds in the next week or so!

Actually, why not? I'll supply the beer. (I'm a brewer at Squatters Pub downtown SLC), I'd love the experience.

    Update.....
    The good news.....
Got my Bonneville Nationals Inc. membership card in the mail yesterday, but no rule book yet......Also got tracking number on the mandrel bends, so next on the agenda is fabricating the actual motor mounts in steel, so I can "hard mount' the mocked-up engine and start fabricating and tack-welding the exhaust together.... I'll add pics of the stages/steps as I do so....
The bad news..... The build fund is down to $7.03, there's only 4 & 1/2 months until the completed bike has to be at Bonneville, ready to go, and still LOTS of parts to fabricate or obtain....
