    Good shout regarding Pacre. Sadly his premises were burned down and he is no longer trading, but we had a chat and he also gave me some good contacts, top bloke.

    I did wonder why there were no listings for him on ebay. Really sorry to hear about his premises, we had a commercial garage that burnt down many years ago and sorting the insurance out is a nightmare. I can understand him not wanting to start up again, we did only have a major burglary a couple of years later.

    I got my camshaft and end journals for Olive off him, I hope he is going to enjoy his retirement now.

    Yeh sounded a nice guy, **** things always happen to good people hey.

    In the meantime have firmed up a plan for some engine work within a reasonable budget so as not to go too crazy. The plan is,
    - +1mm overbore
    - carbs overbore
    - head gas flowed
    - reprofiled camshaft

    CB200 Cafe Racer

    So I've been developing the brake caliper bracket to hold the brembo onto the existing fork casing, with my new brake disc. A lot of dimensional fiddling. There was also a clash with the caliper and my newly spoked and slightly bigger wheel rims, so the disc was off set slightly to accommodate.

    I've 3d printed a prototype today after modelling it, happy with how it looks, next to see if it fits when I get home later... I'm assuming some adjustment will be needed. Then the final step is to get it nicely machined in ally.

    The lift has been increased by .26" and duration by approx. 20° at 0.50

    Thanks for that. I was interested in what had been done to it, regarding the black finish to the cam lobes etc. Some sort of heat treatment ?

    Has metal been added, then ground back, or just a regrind ? Done in the UK ? What about the rocker arms / cam followers ?

    Just curious really.
