Honda just pretty much shut down goldwingdocs.com, they're forced to remove all Honda manuals.
Lest we be the next target, we should probably keep any discussions of manuals in PM's or private email.................

As long as they're not factory ones and only off brand manuals then do you think they'll still be a problem? I've often wondered about our main logo here... GB

we will opreate as normal.
It's sad to see them swing down their huge hammer, but as it goes. Our reach isn't quite the same as goldwingdocs.com they had many more manuals on the front page, and much more forthright about it's content.
Here our manuals are in links in the forum in which you must be a member to access.
I think we'll be safe for a bit.
As for the logo... perhaps... but I will wait until they say otherwise....
HondaTwins.net is not responsible for the content on this forum, as the users are free to post what they see fit. Most manual don't reside on our server, but are links to places where they might be. I will keep my pirate bay stance on this for a while. Don't delete your manuals or posts until we have a letter saying we have to. Otherwise they'll already win.

Ok I'll restore...just don't want to do something that would put this board at risk.

As long as I still have access to online micro fiche, I am cool. I use http://www.servicehonda.com/parts.htmlI own a paper Honda FSM for my 350 and a reprint Honda FSM for my CBX along with a downloaded PDF FSM for my Blackbird. When it comes to my motorcycles, I have the OEM manuals and owner's manuals, there's nothing like Honda manuals.

I seem to remember Ford doing something similar last year. Can't remember the details. Don't think it was over electronic manuals but actual web sites and logos. Seems a bit backwards to me. If I was a company like Honda, I would be giving these electronic versions away to the vintage crowd. They are the people who really love the brand and are working hard keeping the history of the brand intact and out in the public. Also, we are constantly buying parts for these bikes, so they must be making something off that. I can't imagine Honda would be getting rich at selling manuals or even servicing old bikes. It would actually make more sense if Chilton, Haynes and Clymer were the companies doing this as manuals are how they make money. The only thing I can think of is that they want us to stop fixing and riding these old bikes and by their new sterile machines Here's one guy that won't be going down that road.
