Hi Ya'll. Started on the new project bike tonite. It's my second 360. Don't know if I'll keep it stock or make a little chopper out of it. DOn't have to decide yet! Broke the carbs down and found a couple odd things.
On the camfered edge of both vacuum pistons there is a gouge. It's on the airbox side aimed straight at the airbox. It is slightly filed or scraped away. Accident or on purpose? I can't figure out what the goal would have been. Why would you pry there? Any thoughts? These things are so expensive I'll reuse them no matter.

Second question. The carb on the left is missing the cover for the butterfly flap pivot. Where to get one or how to fabricate a new one? I assume I need it or Honda would not have put it there.

Motorcycle(s): a few....
I'd almost bet the gouges are from prying a shellacked-in slide up and out of the carb... (I've seen it before)......As for the missing cap, fill the cup with silicone seal AFTER putting in a disc of aluminum foil ("thrust washer" so it can't hinder the shaft)
